Tethered Jailbreak – Is it Good Option for Your Iphone or IOS Device?

Have you recently bought the iPhone 4s or an iPad? If so, then you must be one of the many users awaiting the release of an IOS 5 or iphone 4s jailbreak. Like the software iphone 4s unlocked service, most sites offering tethered jailbreak for IOS 5 guarantee a software that is reversible and won’t void Apple’s warranty.  But is tethered jailbreak really a good option for you to consider?

Though tethered jailbreak will allow you to download third party applications (not available in iTunes App Store) and also remove file system restrictions on your iPad or iPhone 4s, the frustrating part about using this type of jailbreak is the fact that a connection to a computer is always necessary for booting. Although rebooting via a computer can be a bit taxing, tethered jailbreak offers the best alternative for users with newly released iphones. A tethered jailbreak is the first to become available after a new iphone model is released. Like for instance, the only jailbreak available for iphone 4s, as of the moment, is one using the tethered connection.

Opting for tethered jailbreak is a decision that you should make on your own. If you do not mind booting your iphone 4s via a computer connection every time it freezes or when the battery becomes drained, then go for it. But if you can still wait for an untethered jailbreak iPhone 4s to come out, then do so since this is more convenient and much preferred by many.
